Rehabilitation and development projects are set to commence at the long-abandoned Alumina Partners of Jamaica (Alpart) facility, after discussions have begun with the principals of Alpart to begin the rehabilitation and development of the site.
The project aims to create new economic opportunities and stimulate growth in the area, while also addressing the site’s environmental concerns.
No specific timeline has been announced for the project’s completion, but officials say that the rehabilitation process will commence shortly.
