According to Caribbean Life, Gunmen killed four people and injured three others seriously in St. Vincent in The Eastern Caribbean at the weekend in what police say is the third such deadly mass shooting in recent years. Startled by the latest development at Green Hill district just outside the capital, Security Minister St. Clair Leacock says the administration might will have to turn to neighboring islands and the umbrella Regional Security System (RSS) for help in hunting down heavily armed gangs causing mayhem in the tourism-dependent federation with The Grenadines Islands. Officials fear that the federation, not so long ago named by international travel magazines as a safe destination for leisure seekers, could be a turn off for tourists if gangland activities are not crushed. “We have to do something about that because we don’t want to get to that point in which the tourists don’t come,” said Minister Leacock.
